Message from Fred & Karen:

Tomorrow Tuesday, August  25th, is your CSA week #  12 delivery.   Attached is the list of the planned harvest of items for your boxes.
Almost all of the vegetables are growing rapidly with the warm temperatures.  With the warm temperatures, not just the veggies are having a field day.  Insects have been busy doing their family planning and thinking about as large a family as they can handle.  They use a simple formula, good and plenty food, (that would be your veggies) with good weather translates into making as many babies as they can.  So, it doesn’t take a stretch of the imagination to figure what their appetites are like after all that fun in the sun, (for them and their expanding families).
You may begin to see some holes here and there in some of the vegetables.  The important thing to remember here is that;  1) you’ll know that the veggies have been quality checked by our friends in the field, and 2) there is no extra charge for this service.  Just consider it another ‘extra/plus’ for being a member of our CSA.
Be well,
Fred & Karen
