CSA Kicks off June 9th!

It’s hard to believe it but our first CSA pick-up is this Tuesday, June 9 from 5:00 – 8:00 in front of Franklin Park at 618 St. Johns.

Our farmer, Fred Lee, will be hanging out for at least the first hour of distribution to get to meet some of you and thank you personally for supporting his farm for the season. He is very excited at how many shares we have sold in such a short period of time.

We will be passing out Crown Heights CSA totebags on Tuesday; those of you who ordered them and have not yet paid please bring $10. Also, anyone who still owes a $15 administrative fee, please bring that on Tuesday.

For those of you who didn’t order totebags, we have made a few extra if you get inspired to buy one. But we are asking everyone to please please please come prepared with your own shopping bags for the vegetables. We would love to never have to use a plastic bag for the whole season!

For those of you who have not yet registered for a volunteer shift we will have sign-up information on Tuesday.

Finally, we are asking ahead of time for your patience on Tuesday. We hope that things will run smoothly for the first distribution night but we have a lot of members and none of us have ever done this before so there will surely be some  kinks to work out.

See you Tuesday!!
