So, as you know, CSA’s are all about people pulling together, especially for distributions — here’s the help we need right now!
Please e-mail us if you can help, and/or come to our orientation event on Apr. 29 at Franklin park to find out more (see Events posts for more orientation info).
1. Receiving vegetables – We are looking for 1 or 2 people who are available on Tuesday afternoons between 2 – 4 PM who can meet the farmer and help unload the vegetables. The ideal person for this job works from home/is not working right now and lives near Franklin Park. You would be available to be on call on Tuesdays from 2 – 4 for the full 23 weeks. You won’t have to sit around that whole time, as the farmer will call you when he arrives with the delivery — but you do have to be reliable and available for this crucial part of our Tuesday pick-ups. If you are this person please let us know ASAP and we can talk details!
2. Site Coordinators – We are looking for 6 people to help with distribution nights. If you are a site coordinator you will be expected to be at Franklin Park from 4:30 – 8:30 once every 6 weeks to make sure things are running smoothly. We will train you. We can’t have a CSA without a solid team of site coordinators. If you are interested in this hugely important position, please let us know.
3. Event Coordinators – We’d love some help coming up with fundraising ideas and other social events for our CSA members, so let us know if you want to help with that.
4. Volunteers for 4:30-6:30 pm Distribution Shifts – Most people signed up for the later volunteer shift (6:30-8:30 pm) as part of their required volunteer hours for share registration, but we definitely need people who can help out for the earlier shift – let us know if you can! (Note: We’ve slightly changed our distribution shift times for the season. See our “News” posts for the update!)
